“At Woking Tennis Club we are very proud to be able to offer one of the most extensive outdoor tennis programmes in the region, with all year round tennis activities to suit every age and level. Our aim is for everyone to get the most out of their tennis, from retired players enjoying regular social play, encouraging regular team and match play, to inspiring juniors to train in our academy and compete at the highest levels in international competition.
Working alongside the LTA and Surrey Tennis, ‘Opening Up’ tennis to everyone has also been a priority; from regularly bringing students in from local schools for an introduction to tennis, to helping those with specific learning and additional needs. We have also worked closely with the LTA and Woking Borough Council to help develop affordable pay and play tennis, at Woking Park.
A fantastic in house tennis team, as well as numerous volunteers and captains, have been working together over the past 10 years inspiring our team tennis to thrive, with a comprehensive range of teams to play for and internal and external competitions to take part in. We welcome any tennis enthusiast to come down and see what it’s all about!"

Our Courts
We have full range of courts, that includes:

3 Grass Tennis Courts (April to September)

6 Grand-Lano Artificial Clay Courts (all weather floodlit)

8 Macadam with additional mini court lines (4 floodlit/ all weather)

6 Dedicated Mini Tennis Courts (4 hard (all weather), 2 grass)

Ten of these courts are also floodlit, enabling an extensive tennis programme to be played all year round.

Membership Benefits
A full range of activities are offered to Members including;

Adult Social Mix-InsEnjoy social games with other Members of a similar standard at a convenient time. We run a range of organised sessions every week of the year, from weekday morning senior mix-ins, through to Ladies, Men’s and Mixed team practise sessions in the evenings. Beginners are also very welcome with a dedicated coach supervised sessions every Monday evening and Friday morning.

Club TeamsWith over 20 Ladies, Men’s, Mixed and Senior teams competing summer and winter in the National, Surrey, Woking and Chaucer Leagues, coaching and organised training sessions are run every week. Junior teams from U8 – U18 also compete all year round in county and regional leagues. Complimentary balls are provided for all team matches.

Social TournamentsRegular fun tournaments and events are held all year round for Adults, Juniors and Families, as well as the Annual Club Championships. Most popular events include Champagne Doubles, Family Tournament and Christmas Competition.

Box LeaguesMeet new players and get regular singles matches arranged to a similar playing standard with our online internal mixed matchplay leagues. Quick and easy to do through the members area of the club website, there’s both a summer and winter season.

Junior and Senior LTA / ITF TournamentsLTA National (G2) down to local (G5) level tournaments are run by qualified referees all year round for 8U up to Adult age groups. There are also larger week long events run each year, including the British Tour (May), the Whitsun Open (June), the Woking Open (July) and the ITF Seniors Open (September).

All members of our team are professionally qualified LTA & DBS Accredited coaches, to give you the assurance of the highest standards of coaching and welfare at the club.
The club’s coaching team is led by Jonny Thomson (Programme Manager), who combines with Mark Wisdom (Head Coach) to lead a committed and inspired team of coaches, that caters for all your tennis development needs. The team meets every week to discuss the programme and to maintain the most professional offering to our members, tailoring the sessions to benefit as many players as possible.
